Privacy, in plain terms.

This notice covers the Get Alive website and the current private beta of the extension. Get Alive is an independent project. Contact: the contact form.

On this website

We do not add analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies. Fonts and graphics are served with the site. The hosting provider may process technical request data, including IP addresses, for site delivery and security. Any sign-in required by the hosting platform is managed by that platform.

When you contact support

Clicking Send transmits your email address, subject, and message to Formspree so we can receive and reply to your request. No recordings or diagnostics are attached by the website. Formspree may process request metadata such as your IP address, and processing may occur in the United States. Its retention and processing practices are described in Formspree’s privacy policy. Received email is handled through Proton.

A success message confirms Formspree acceptance, not delivery to the inbox. Please do not submit recordings, private stream URLs, passwords, or access tokens. The receiving mailbox is configured privately with Formspree.

Recordings in the extension

Recordings are stored locally in your browser profile. Get Alive does not upload them to the developer. Download exports a file to your device. Delete removes the extension’s local copy, not files already downloaded. Uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data can remove recordings that have not been exported.

Settings, recording metadata, recovery data, and the Free daily-start counter also stay in the browser profile. Local storage is not encrypted by Get Alive. Media URLs may be held temporarily for detection and playback; page titles help name exported files.

Permissions and diagnostics

The extension detects media on sites you allow. Site and media-host access can be removed in Settings or browser controls. Access to Formspree is optional and separate from Send. Granting it does not submit a message. Extension diagnostic reports are attached only after review and explicit selection. They exclude media, URLs, page titles, filenames, and raw error messages.

Payments and audit contributions

Premium checkout and audit contributions are not enabled. No payment data or wallet credentials are collected by this website. This notice will be updated before a payment provider is connected.

For questions about data, or requests relating to support messages you have sent, use the contact form. Provider logs and retention remain subject to the relevant provider’s policies.
